Jonathan Aitken has been married to The Hon Elizabeth Harris Aitken since 2003. He was previously married to Lolicia Aitken-Azucki (1978-1997). He has four children, Alexandra, Victoria, William and Petrina.
He is the son of the late Sir William Aitken, KBE, MP and The Hon Lady Aitken, MBE, JP.
He is the grandson of the late Lord Rugby and of the late Magnus Aitken of Toronto.
He is the great nephew of the late William Maxwell Aitken, 1st Baron Beaverbrook.
He is the brother of Maria Aitken, actress and director.
